 Yellow ’Conda/Rainbow babies...

I’ve been tossing around the idea to breed my yellow anaconda with a soon-to-be-mine Brazilian Rainbow. Really, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, both being closely related to each other, but some outside input would be nice. Anyone have any ideas, thoughts, etc? I’d appreciate any advice anyone has to give...

Not going to happen in a million years. Impossible. You cant breed a Rainbow to a Redtail much less to a Conda yellow or green. Sorry to be the barer of bad news.LOL I dont even think you could breed a yellow to a green.

There are successful breedings of Green/Yellow Condas, ask Bluenote about his yellow/green anacondas.

Why not? Honestly, I thought being closely related would make it possible, sort of like the burm/retic cross. I’m not doubting that I could be wrong, but if this really isn’t possible, I’d like to know why.

yeah that will never happen there is so many different things about thier anatomy and when and how they breed that it is impossible even if they did breed thier dna is too different.... it would be cool though

It can be done! Many years ago a guy produced yellow anacondas x col boas.....so why not rainbows? In fact it should not be to hard to do. These days there are a lot of hybids being made. Some of them are
Ball python x short tail python
Ball python x woma
Green tree python x carpet python
Macklotts python x carpet python
Emerald tree boa x amazon tree boa
retic python x burmese python
Burmese python x African rock python
And many MANY more.
Anaconda x rainbow can be done no problem.

i think it is very possible and with enough tries i bet it would work i mean how do you think ligers came to be or mules do some research you’ll be shocked to read there have been humanzee’s (chimp/human hybrid) look it up i think it is likely to work if given enough chances. now will it be sterile after? according to the statistics i’ve seen probably so, also i do think it is kinda of wrong i mean your creating a new creature that should not have been, Ok thats the cool part, but now you have a creature that has no definite identity they like differents temps/humidity levels i dunno i dont think you would be able to find good help if you did.
