 Rainbow Boa Question

I was just wondering how big Rainbow Boas get when they reach full adulthood.Does it depend on the sex or no?

Females average 5.5, males average 4.5 adult size. Maximum size is around 7 feet.This is for brazilians i am not too familiar with the other locales.

I feed my girl once a week as much as she will eat in on sitting,she knows when to stop.On the other hand i have a Colombian bci that if i let her eat as much as she wanted she would never stop.

Thats not to bad of a price.I’ve seen other boas for WAY more then that!!!! My hubby and i have been thinking about getting one actually so we’re asking around before hand plus we have to find one lol. We have an Albino Rosy Boa, shes VERY calm she hasn’t bit once but shes still young!!!!

My girl is just barely a year old and she is already over 5 ft long. We bought her for $120 (the girl was getting rid of all her herps). We don’t over feed her but I’ve heard that females can sometimes be over 7 ft long so... Also she has never struck anyone and she won’t eat unless she is hungry. On the other hand when she does eat she is very violent about it!

Here is a pic of her. (The left is from January of ’07, and the right is from Sep ’06).

My hubby and i are thinking about getting one so we just wanted to make sure.We’ll prolly end up having 3 snakes here soon! I think Rainbows are so pretty,they’re so different then other boas and such. But anyways,if any one else wishes to add on their experiences please do.Oh,and do post pics!!!lol thanks!
