Are you using a tub like we talked about?

If so...just put the water bowl on the warm side of the tub.

You’ll have plenty of humidity!!!

If you’re using a tank...let me know. There’s a better way than moss.

Trust me...You won’t need any moss!

Get a "Digital" thermometer/Hygrometer!!!

Get the UTH set in place. Get the temps right.

Then add the water bowl on the cool end.

Monitor the temp and humidity.

You want 75% - 80% humidity.

If the humidity spikes off the chart...melt or drill more ventilation holes in the sides near the top of the tub! Do not put holes in the lid!!!

If you need more humidity...move the water bowl closer to the UTH.

Trust me...You don’t need moss!!!

=====================

To Albinorosyboa...

For a tank set-up...you just need to create a humid-hide box. But you still don’t need moss.

I have used a 12" x 18" x 8" Rubbermaid container that fit in my glass tank.

I cut a hole in one side about the size of a golf ball...but make sure it’s about 1/2" above the bottom edge.

Now fold 6 or 8 paper towel sheets and place them in the bottom of the container. Run warm tap water over the paper towels until it’s soaked and pour out the excess. Press on the paper towels a bit to drain the water so it is very, very moist but not sopping wet.

Put on the lid and place on or near the UTH.

This is obviously cheaper than always buying moss and I’m sure you already have paper towels in your home. The added benefit is that with paper towels...You can easily ’see" if they defecate or urate on the hide and you can keep it clean.

This is better for your snake!!!
