  Baby’s Nipping (this seem’s to work well)

Just some thing i tryed out.

If any one in causious about pickin there snake up because of nipping why not try putting a pair of thin woolen gloves on, that way you know that if it bites it aint goin to hurt, that way the snake will get fead up of keep doing it, knowing that it aint hurting you.

Or just let it bite you anyway because as a baby...they can’t hurt you anyway.

Or use a snake hook and condition the BRB not to strike to begin with.

30+ years experience and this method works for me.

yea you could do that, but it dosent even hurt when they bite. haha id just let them but so far no of mine actually havent bit me on propose that is... lol

As babies...I don’t worry about strikes. I keep after them regardless and they soon realize that striking at me is futile.

Eh just let them bite you! if you dont back off, they will realize that biting you wont keep you from getting your big hands on em. After a few handlings, they shouldnt bite anymore. They dont even hurt any really anyways.....except my tegus.....
I dont use a hook for any of my snakes except my rattlesnake.....he isnt use to handling yet...
Then there’s that coral snake im gonna be getting from a breeder in 2 weeks....

Bites?Who cares,granted a bite from a bigger snake sucks but smaller snakes i just go with the flow.Use common sense and a hook and you will be fine.I just had my Emerald hybrid graze my hand during cage maintenance the other night and a laugh later and some rubbing alcohol it was fine!

I even got a kick out of the only bad bite i ever received,Aru scrub about 12 feet,clamped me good on the arm.





I suppose it’s no big deal to me because i have been injured far worse before,Dirt bikes are my hobby,so some cuts really aren’t that bad.l
