 What to feed baby???

its so hard to get pinkies and i quit breeding mice since my other snakes are taking rats now i just bought some mice to breed but my vermin needs something to eat till then!!! can i feed it feeder fish??? or any other ideas its girth is only the size of a AA battery

I have 2 that size and they take Hoppers no problem if your nervous with that size Rat pups are good too!!

Here is a pic of Athena(pic 1) & Ares(pic 2) eating Hopper mice and it leaves a nice sized lump in there bellies!!

Personally I would never feed my snakes fish, like I said rat pups and hoppers are the best. Rat pups are pretty cheap at any pet store and you can buy enough for a months supply till your rats start breeding, if your feeding frozen they dont take long to unthaw. Hoppers are pretty cheap aswell and seriously your rainbow would love you for it I find that hoppers leave an awesome size lump where as pinkies and rat pups normally are gone within 24 hrs, Hope that helps a bit.

yeah my pet store sucks and petsmarts not opening till march 1st there always out of frozen and dotn sell baby rats just adults

BRBs are not "Fish Eating Snakes".

Too many problems can arise from even trying to do that.

HAHA man, im glad there are more people at this forum now. Well, i really do think your snake can take a young adult mouse. A mouse’s body when squeezed, becomes a bit larger then the head. So as long as you snake can swallow the head, its ok. My BRB ate young mice when i first got her. UGH i ran out of good size mice this week and had to give her 2 small mice.....
