A question about my knew baby.

Hi, I’m knew to the sight. I love all the beautiful BRB pic on hear and I hope I can contribute when I get my new baby BRB. Hear is a pic of her.
I did a lot of research on BRB and I think I have a great setup for my snake when it arrives, but I just had one question. Is it ok to feed live at first then later switch to frozen food, or should you pick one and not switch?

A question about my knew baby.

I dont own a BRB but im in the process of setting up for one. As with any snake though when it arrives dont make drastic changes to an already stressed out snake...feed it what is wants to make sure all is well and then go for the frozen.

Hope this helps

In my opinion, I will always recommend feeding f/t or p/k before live. There are too many risks to live, and it’s not worth it at all. I bought my BRB a few months ago, and Don Hamper told me he was feeding on live mice fuzzies only. I got the snake home, left it alone for a week, made sure my temps/humidity were right, then when feeding time came, I thawed out a large rat fuzzy, and he’s been taking them ever since. Hell, he just took two large rat fuzzies for me just ten minutes ago lol. I would say start out on frozen/thawed, and keep being persistent with it. The snake will get hungry eventually :). Hope this helps!

I agree with Sara...but at the same time you should post the details of your set-up / husbandry.

This way if something is a little off...we can help you adjust things before your BRB arrives.
