 Hello, i have a feeding question???

my boa is about 20 something inches about 2 feet almost and maybe almost as thick as my thumb, and i feed him hopper mice, do you think i should give him bigger mice?? is it safe to? or maybe two hoppers??? i just thought that now it might not be enough anymore.

Sounds like more than enough, perhaps even a bit much for his size IMO. I wouldnt go up to anything larger for quite some time myself.

One meal is better than two at once,find the right size and feed just one meal.I would switch to rats,mice suck with rats you will get much better growth!Sounds to me like you could go with rat pups or weaned rats,I’ll give you a link.Link

A good rule of thumb is feed a prey item that has an equal girth to the thickest part of your snake,you can go slightly larger but Don’t over do it!!

Well sounds like your snake wont be able to take weaned rats. Prolly go with pups or fuzzies. As long as the food makes a good lump in your BRB its good. That should disappear within 24 hours anyways. Just pick what you think is about right.

My BRB is just a little over 2 ft. (I’m pretty sure), and he takes two rat pups for me once a week, but BRBs are born being able to take hoppers right after their first shed, so If I were you, I would give him hoppers. The only reason I give my guy fuzzies is because I bought a 50 bag of them and nothing else I have will eat them! lol
