I get my BRB today!!!

Finally I’ll get my BRB today at noon. I’ve been weighting for a while. The weather was too cold to ship. Shes being shipped all the way from Cali. On a plain to Ohio then a road trip to TN. I’ve changed a few things in my tank. I added another water dish, so theirs one on each side. Added more climbing branches. I got some Plexiglas for the top of my tank. I also got a red heat bulb. My temp is between 75 to 85, and my humidity fluctuates between 85 to 95. And I agree with the fact that BRB are not for beginners. Getting everything just right is some what of a task, and you have to constantly make sure the temp and humidity is just right.
Well I’ll post some pic of her as soon as I get the chance. Thanks again for all the advice from everyone.

I’m sooo happy you got her!
Give her a week to settle in, and ditch the heat lamp. They are useless and only suck the humidity out of the enclosure. Just make sure you have a UTH running on a dimmer, that is the perfect source for heat. Let me know if you need anything, you know I lurk around here often!

Exciting! I’m waiting on a couple from CA myself.

85 is a touch too warm. Ditch the humidity drying heat lamp and see where your temps end up. I like 77-80 with 90-95% humidity for babies. They really seem to appreciate the cypress the first week of being here, let her dig herself in and leave her alone for the first week. This is the hardest part about having them IMO, but trust me, let her dig in and just leave her entirely alone so she’ll settle in and eat for you when you offer her food. When you do feed her, dont pick her up for 48-72 hours, these guys puke somewhat easily and they seem to be more affected by it than easier species. The no touching part sucks, believe me, but it’ll be a much easier transition for her if you’re strict with yourself.

I noticed the heat lamp sucked away the humidity so I stopped using it. My temp is between 77 and 82. My humidity is fine too. She seems very happy. during the day she stays hidden. At night she is out roaming the tank. I have a vine that she just loves to climb on an hang out, but as soon as the sun comes up it’s back to sleep for her. When she first arrived I held her for a bit before putting her in her new home. She seemed so happy to be out of her cup she was in. She never struck at me, just happy tong flicks.
