About heating plastic containers... So I was looking into getting a rubbermaid container for my boa, and getting him out of a tank, for more privacy and well easier to obtain humidity. And well I was wandering if anyone knew what kind of heater I should get for it?

About heating plastic containers... If you have a tank just use it,they work just fine for humidity if set up properly.

About heating plastic containers... what kind of "heater" are you currently using? you can get under tank heaters but those get to warm for plastic. you can also get long cord heaters and a rehostat (thermostate) or dimmer switch to help maintain temp needed.
if you need to use under tank heaters i wrap mine in washcloth from walmart to help disapate the heat and its not so harsh.

About heating plastic containers... For my tank, I put two hides in it, plus branches for the snakes to climb on. I have a piece of plastic that covers most of the top of the tank that I can slide back and forth depending on how humid it is. If the tank needs more humidity, I move the light partway over the water dish (completely over the dish and the tank turns into a sauna) It keeps humidity great. I have to be careful that it doesnt get TOO humid in fact. Just cover at least 3/4 of the screen top and humidity stays in great.
