 Uma Update.....The Rainbow Boa Rescue

Hey guys,

It’s been a while since I’ve posted pics of Uma. OMG I am so proud of her. She is doing so good. She still looks thin and there are still patches where you can see some wrinkly/hangy skin....but she’s getting there. She is the sweetest thing. She is still eating one rat a week, and I think this last time she wanted more, but the rat was quite skinny. lol

We hung out on the couch tonight before her bath.

Here you can see her eye is still cloudy....but it does look more like a shed now:




All right, all right.....I know, I’ve over done it.

It’s nice to finally see that rainbow shine coming out so well! I’m still waiting on the day her eye heals up! That’s driving me NUTS! Just as I’m sure it is you too! Thanks for keeping us updated!

She looks so much better! I love her new moon spots. She is filling out nicely. A nice weight gain, not overly fast. Great work with her.

I know snakes don’t have "feelings" but if she did boy would she be grateful!

Yeah, but snakes do have nerve endings and are sensitive to pain and discomfort. In that way they do have feelings, and as such is alot less stressed and far far healthier, so Im sure it "feels" better.

Oh, I don’t know, maybe am gonna start a fight here. LOL But I would like to think that they have feelings. Just like any other creature with a brain.........Maybe not to the extent that we do, but I would like to think that they feel something. I know that when she puts her head on my knee or on my chest that she is feeling someting. Ok, maybe am just being conry, but she looks so peaceful as she is sitting there just looking at me. lol IDK

Haha, not gonna start a fight with me...
I would like to think mine appreciate me and I guess none of us really know for sure if they are contemplating life without us : )
Besides, it doesn’t hurt anything or anyone when we think our animals love us and are happy with the homes they have. Whether we are right or wrong about it.
If I was her I would sure feel comforted knowing you were taking care of me : )
