 Hi....New to the forum...

Well you should get one. very beautiful snake if maintained properly. From brazil so they need very high humidity most importantly. you want your cool side high seventies to low 80s. and warm side mid 80s to upper 80s. you need your humidity at atleast 70% and they typically get about 5 or 6 feet. i would adopt one personally or get one from a good breeder.

 Hi....New to the forum...

Be careful on those temps thats a little high.
I was told for Brbs they like it a little cooler than Boa Constrictors, around 80 on the hot side- 70 on the cool. Over 85 can cause heatstroke and neurological issues.

They also need high humidity 70-80%. This can be done by putting a large water dish half way under a red heat lamp or ceramic heat emitter in the basking area, and making sure if you have a screen top enclosure that you cover at least 3/4 of the top with either Thick Plastic sheeting (Used for signmaking) or aluminum foil- or something that will hold moisture in, leaving just enough room for the heat lamp and some ventilation.

 Hi....New to the forum...

Im not perfect, I could be wrong, but everything I read said what I posted. I love kingsnake.com- but I never rely on just one site. I try to get multiple answers when I get a question and go with what I think are the most reliable sources. I did a lot of looking when I was going to get that BRB that didnt pan out.

 Hi....New to the forum...

Almost every care sheet that I have read minus this one on reptic zone says that 85-90 on the warm side is good and it should drop down to mid to upper 70s at night time. It is ultimately your choice though.

 Hi....New to the forum...

Boa constrictors like temps in that range- though 90 is getting on the hot side even for them.

The humidity though is key. They like it very humid and a lot of hides and a bowl of water large enough for them to soak in. They can be nippy as babies, but with handling outgrow it.
