I know, I’m so excited. I’ll probably frequent this forum.

I’m guessing he’ll be here first thing in the morning.

I’ll measure his exact length before I get x-rays tomorrow(And put him away, of course)

How long should I wait to get some pictures? So he can settle in and all.

Hey,

I usually handle all my new additions right away. Slowly and in small amounts, but I do it right away. A lot of people say wait a week, but I have never had any problems with handling them from day one. He is going to be getting used to the new environment and he might as well start getting used to you right away as well. Why get him used to one thing, and then in a week make him nervous again and try and get him used to something else.

How old is he? OMG I bet you are so excited. I always wanted a BRB, and was lucky enough to be able to rescue one a few months ago. She is ten years old and six feet long. She is absolutely beautiful. We are coming into some problems with her health because of the conditions she was in before I got her, but hopefully everything will turn out ok.

This forum is quite slow, but everyone on here is great!!! I usually hang around the Beaded Dragon Community and you can post pics of your new guy there as well.

Can’t wait to see more pics after you get him.

He’s here! He’s here! He just came in UPS, and I was SO worried about it. I thought the guy I bought him from was going to send him overnight, but he sent him on two day air! To a desert! I was so scared he was going to be dead when he got here.

But, I opened the box and took him out of his snake bag, and he’s fine! He has some dry spots on his skin and on his head, but other than that he’s perfect. I put him away and he went straight to the water. I’m partially filling a lukewarm bath for him right now, and I’m going to let him soak in it before leaving him alone. I’ll take some pics tomorrow. He’s GORGEOUS!

If you paid for overnight, I would at least send the guy a note explaining why you paid for it...and how much of a risk it was to the snakes health not to follow the agreed upon procedure, as it is SUMMER in the DESERT where it can get over 250* in the back of a truck and cook them. *chuckles* Thank goodness UPS didnt let that happen.

Glad it is alright, and that you are the person it went to, not someone who hasnt done their research!
A bit of humidity will hopefully set things right.

Cant wait to see pictures!
