 Pcitures!

I got some pictures of my BRB!

I’ve decided to name him Quen.

He’s not very nice. I took him out to get a few pictures, he struck at me 6 times(Got a nasty, bleeding bite, too), and I had to fight with him for 10 minutes to get him back in his enclosure. But, he’s pretty, so yay.

here he is:

Quen is a very beautiful snake! good job. and just what you needed, a broken collarbone and wrestling with a quirky serpent. *chuckles*
I see what you mean about the patches on his head and back. Not seeing it in person its difficult to tell, but that could be from rubbing against a screen, though usually the tip of the nose would be rubbed too.

a daily bath in the bathtub, and some clear pedialyte in the drinking water in its tank should help. Keep an eye on it over the next few sheds to see if its getting better, and keep the humidity up. Keep up the good work, and heal fast so you can work with your horses again too!

Haha, yeah. Luckily, it didn’t hurt my collarbone at all to wrestle with him. It was hard, though. He has some real strength.

The patch on his head is actually a wound that has begun to close over. It looks like a rat bite. I was old he was eating f/t, but I’m not so sure now.

I’ve been looking at the patches on his back and all down his body, and I can’t decide if they’re wounds or just stuck shed. Regardless, I’ve been giving him a warm bath every day and letting him soak for about 10 minutes. I think he likes it, because he always just lays in it with his head above water and he seems relaxed when I take him back.

I can’t decide if he looks underweight. What do you think?

And thanks. I’ve been working with them with groundwork and such. I groom them everyday, and then lunge all four of them as well as work with my filly welsh pony. You know, teaching her to pick up her hooves and putting fly spray on and such.

I think his weight, from the pictures, looks good. The baths will help a great deal for his skin to heal. As he gets to know you, and see that he gets good care and such, Im sure he will calm down- as will your horse (Esperanza wasnt it?) once she gets to know that crunchy bags and other wierdnesses arent going to hurt her when you’re around!

Hope youre healing well.

Okay, that’s good. I couldn’t quite tell, lol.

And I’ll continue with the baths, although I’m a bit reluctant to try to pick him up now that he’s so far into shed.

And yup, I’m starting some desensitizing work with Espy. That’s not gonna happen again! lol.

I’m also starting to train my pony. She’s a chestnut paint, 100% welsh pony, 2-3 years old. Very pretty. She’s starting to lunge very well! I taught her from scratch and I have to say, I’m very proud of her. She’s such a smart pony.

And I’m healing very well. I’m a brace, but I can move my arm very well now and can lift things with it with minimal pain. The ortho said I had to do a little physical therapy, but 6-8 weeks from the time of the break, I can ride again. I have to be careful about falling off, though. 3 months and I’ll be fully healed.
