IS SHE STUCK? 
I put this log and sturdy cardboard tube in Inga’s cage to give her something to play around with - climb on and thru. She didn’t use it to climb, but she did use it to slither thru. But she decided to sleep in there last nite and I’m worried she is stuck. I took her out, log and all this morning and she is fine, she just is using it for a hide and I’m worried she can be stuck. Is this possible? Here is a photo. I know it sounds stupid, but I am really worried and don’t know if I need to cut the tube and get her out of there. She is moving in there but not coming out at all. PLEASE ADVICE! Thanks

hi...one of my redtails got her head stuck in a log.she got thrashing around real good. i don’t put anything in with them with holes in it anymore. try misting her down or anything to get her moving...

She’s moving - she just won’t come out. The air holes aren’t big enough for her head to get thru. I’m gonna cut the cylinder. I just don’t like the possibility of her getting hurt. I think I made a real dumb mistake. That was my bp’s climbing tree before I went with the tub. When I touch her, she moves around and hides more.

Well she wasn’t even nearly stuck - but I just didn’t like worrying about it so I put the thing in the tub with warm water and she climbed right out. That was when I realized how much room she actually had in there but still, it stressed me too much. I’ll find her a regular tree she can climb on - I don’t like the idea of her being in a tube where she could possibly get hurt. That was a really dumb move on my part. I feel like a horrible mom! She’s fine now and not even upset - she gave me little tongue "kisses" and got back into her enclosure. I just couldn’t leave for school while she was in that tube!

Your not a horrible mum, you were worried about her and she wasnt hurt thats what counts. Glad to know shes alright! Keep us posted.

you should have seen me when my monitors started burrowing. i would dig them out to see if they were all right. everyone said to leave them alone but i would rather know they are o.k. than gamble.
