How do i ask my parents 
i used to have two ball pythons but it was like 3 years ago and i was afraid of them so i gave them away but just recently i started to love snakes again and i dunno how to ask my parents to let me have a red tailed boa...
help please!!

I can see why you would want a red tail but I don’t think my folks would ever have let me have one. I’m now 26 and as my 5 year old loves our red tail so much I have just put her name on a Rosy. How about one of those? They grow to around 5ft max and are still a Boa. At least you can tell your folks it won’t grow to 12 ft!!! Just discuss it with them and let them know that you are serious. Get a job to help contribute towards feeds and the enclosure and if you show your dedication why would they say no?

well guys i decided that im goin to gun for another bp. because i already know a ton about them and they dont get 1000000 feet long!!! and also its a great snake to start with to!! so i geuss maybe when im little older ill try for a red tail!! ill post a messeage later on to tell you guys what momma thinks about the idea!! haha

if you were scared of them are you sure that snakes are really for you? not having a go but u should ask yourself that along with the question "why do i want a snake" snakes are awesome but only if you want them for the right reasons. If you really do want one and were scared of a small ball python pair do u really think you would be less afraid of an 8-12 foot constrictor which if not tamed properly can give a pretty nasty bite? and then theres tank sizes for said large constrictor, ball pythons ide reccomend but mainly because they are extremely unlikely to bite you when scared they curl up or recoil there heads which makes them easier not to mention requirements for them but as mentioned above rat snakes are pretty dam good aswell

You should try a sand boa. Very docile snake. They look great too and they’re fun to watch eat. They’re even smaller than ball pythons.

You can find pictures of sand boas anywhere. Here’s a Linkto a google image search that might help you. There are many different colors. There are a lot of care sheets for sand boas. Here’s a Linkto one of them. I’m not sure of the average length, but they’re not too long and can live most or all of their life in a 15 or 20 gallon tank. Smaller than a ball python and just as docile. I hope this helps.

you should wait to get a redtail. because it’s been 3 years sence you had a snake. take it slow. get a ball pyton or something else smaller. you were scared of a ball python. a redtail boa gets almost 3 times the size of a ball python, thats almost 15 feet. but no redtail got that big before. theirs one at the sanfrancisco zoo. it’s the biggest in the world. the redtail is 14.5 feet. pluse if you don’t handle a redtail that much it is gonna be a disaster. this snake can be dangerous when it is mean. your talking about a snake that can put stiches in your arm or other places. do your research for 1-3 months. if your not strong enough this snake can kill you by constricting. be acerful. if you get a ball python or something smaller adapt to that snake. wait for months or years before you get a redtail. get comftable with snake. your parents are probably gonna say no unless you make a commitment not to get rid of your snake. but if you get rid of another snake that you get maybe the snake world isn’t for you. you can also buy the snakes supplys with your own money. that would probably help you asking your parents. if you don’t say I will buy the snake and it’s supplys your parents are probably gonna say I am not gonna waist my money again. you can also act responsible. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

yea bro i just talked to my mom about another bp and theres a herp show coming in may10th and she said that shell give me an allounce but not enough for a snake so i have to work for my naighbors too and she said if i can make the money then shell give me another shot!

Y did you become afraid of a little ball python. Plus if you were scared 3 years ago how do u know ur still not scare u could get another ball python and be afraid and never handle it. Then you think of getting a bigger snake then you had b4. Also think if you 13 in a few years u might be going to college will u still have time to handle and spend time with it. Should think of all those b4 u decide to get into something that u could have for 30 plus years. I have 2 burmese pythons myself and they can get moody think if u got a 10ft boa and it got moody on u do u have people to help with it to. There are alot of questions u need to answer before buying anything.
