hey D.. nice Boas. I suspect that my female RTB is gravid now. She is approximately 3 years old and this will be her first clutch. I was wondering if this is your first clutch.. and if so... how many babies were there? I am trying to get an idea of approximately how many to expect.. I know the books say anywhere from 20-60... but I would suspect a much smaller amount...especially for first timers.. The snakes look awesome and I am so excited now that I’ve seen your pics.

Susan,
This was actually a female that I took in from a local daycare. She is appx. 6 yrs old but relatively small due to the fact of not being fed properly for five years. She is about 14lbs, and gave birth to a small litter. There where 8 babies, (3 hypos and 5 normals). She also had 6 or 7 slugs. I had another litter with a girl who was about 3lbs heavier than this girl and I got 21 healthy and 3 slugs. It’s hard to say on the litter sizes. Obviously the bigger, mature mother should yield more boas.

Good luck with your girl, hope she has some little ones working.

Florida Boy,
The other litter was a het anery female with a DH ghost. Got a few nice ghosts out of this one.
The baby anerys are neat as well. This litter actually occured at a friends place. The Dhghost was mine and the female was his. The litter shown up top was actually my first. Coincidently the male that bred that anery at my friends also bred a female anery for me. This girl is due in 3 weeks.
