ok i got this great 5ft male super tame rtb ( unknown locality ) and well i got him last wed and hes been weezing constintaly opening his mouth for no reason kinda like a yawn constintaly and i somtimes see lile a little spit or snot bouble on the side of his mouth. sounds like a RI to me or somthing idk any help or ideas or anything. hopfully dont wanna make a trip to the vet.

If it sounds like RI, smells like RI and looks like RI its probably some sort of RI, i’d say a trip to the vet is needed. =/

Boa’s sometimes yawn after eating to realign there Jaw or when they are shedding they do it to loosen the skin. Mine does it at other times also but the weezing maybe a sign of an RI. How’s your temps and humidity? By raising these you can sometimes get rid of the problem.

Snot bubbles and wheezing? DEFINITE signs of RI... and yes you can raise temps to help dry it out... but know what? IT IS STILL THERE... RI’s do NOT go away... the symptoms can get better... but the infection is still underlying... you may be able to get away with not going to the vet now... but it will only persist and get worse... I’d say a trip to the vet is in order just as soon as you can get it lined up.

but these simtoms only occur and show up when i handle him? he yawns alot but the weezing or constintaly opening his mouth like a yawn but nto as wide as a yawn and snot bubbles only happen during handling?
