RTB’s get rather large... but are actually quite harmless when they are well cared for...however all snakes can be dangerous if not carefully cared for..or handled carelessly. According to my Barron’s books.. the Pythons are distinct from the boas in their reproduction. most boas retain their eggs inside the body until they hatch; pythons lay eggs. Boas are termed ovoviviparous..which means that the eggs inside the female are surrounded by a membranes instead of a hard shell. When the babies are ready to be born, the eggs will be dispelled one at a time, the babies break through the membrane and crawl away. Pythons are oviparous.. meaning that the eggs are surrounded by a thin parchment like shell. females of most species of pythons will coil around and stay with them during incubation. Both species can live a long time.. and both species sizes vary within the subspecies. The temps and general husbandry do vary within subspecies also. They are many things that are different within each species... might I suggest that you buy a book on both species if that is what you are interested in... there are way too many likes and differences to type them all.

If you have to ask this question...They are too dangerous for you!

Maybe you should buy a cute little Corn Snake!?
