But I do have a few questions.... Who looked at her? A vet or a friend? The miss colored scales...what color are they? Did she have them before she went into shed or did they appear after? Would it be possible for you to post a picture of her, especially the line of odd scales? What are her cage temps? What is the cage humidity level? How big is she? What are you currently feeding her? How often? How long have you had her? Amie |

Quote: tryed feeding her like they said all she did was hiss and get even more pissed to the point wen i jus decided to put her away
Are both the male and female in the same enclosure? Can you change your substrait to paper towels or Newspaper and feed directly in her enclosure? My female was having issues feeding until I fed her in her enclosure. However you cannot do this if you house snakes together, or the danger of one of them eating the other increases greatly. (I do NOT reccomend housing snakes together for reasons I have mentioned in numerous other posts) Giving her a period with no handling is a good idea. Be sure her tank, "furniture" and water dish is being disinfected monthly and that you are using an appropriate substrate and keeping her humidity between 55 and 75%. It should only be around 70-75% during the week shes in Shed, the rest of the time it should hover in the 55%-60% range. Pictures will help a lot. If shes kept in too moist of an enclosure with inadiquate ventilation and dirty or wet bedding she could be suceptible to scale rot, which is a fungal infection. She will definately need treatment if thats what it is. |

Anyways, you really need to separate them. The fact that the male is doing better then the female shows that he is the dominate one in the enclosure. He will continue to be for as long as they are together. She may not calm down or eat well until you separate them! Secondly bump your temps up to high 80’s and high 70’s. At 3 feet long she should be able to handle small rats. I can’t really give my opinion about the odd scalation unless I can see a picture. Maybe the scales were always like that. but you didn’t notice until now. Maybe she was bitten when she was younger? Amie |

They were fine together for three months- save for the occasional skipped meal by her, then one day he went to eat her. If I hadn’t been right there I would have come back to one over fed snake who probably would have died too. |
