Too large of an enclosure? I have a 6’x2’x2’ enclosure that I built for Iella in anticipation for when she out grows her 20 long tank. My question is, right now she is just over 2 ft. long, will it do any harm for her to be in her larger enclosure now, if so, what is the best size for her to hit before I move her? I’m just wondering because after I finished the enclosure, I set it up and it holds temps and humidity spot on, while I have a hard time sometimes in the tank keeping them up, especially the humidity. I’ve even covered half of the top of the tank and put a second water bowl on the hot side. Any help would be appreciated, I’d like to move her to the larger enclosure, but not at the risk of her health.

Too large of an enclosure? Welll if you rele want to get her into it and get rid of the 20 gal..you can try putting in somthing in the center jsut temporarly till she gets bigger and can open it up..I always heard they will get stresd if they got a larger tank...But i really dotn see the hard as long as they have several hides to go into if they need..But I’m no pro at all..

Too large of an enclosure? As long as she has places to hide and climb, it will be perfectly fine. As you probably know, they will stop climbing when they get older, so branches can be removed later.
Good luck,

Too large of an enclosure? Hides hides, fake plants, soaking pool, Big beefy branches, places to explore and hide in with varied temperatures...she will be in snake paradise.
They usually get stressed if its a big open tank with no where to feel secure in. Otherwise, not an issue. Heating it could be...and humidity, but if the tank holds those well, you’re good to go!
