Any suggestions? 
I have a thermostat from Big Apple Herp, the BAH-1000SC, don’t ever buy this unit, it sucks. I’ve had it hooked up for 2 weeks and the past 2 days it has been shutting off on me, I have to mess around with it to get it to come back on. I need a new one asap and local pet stores around me don’t have any thermostats. I found a guy on craigslist who has Biostat DP thermostats, anyone have any experience with these? Also if I can ask, what thermostat is everyone using? I hear alot that Ranco is a good one. Thanks for the help.

I’m using the Big Apple Herp one and its working great for me. I actually have three of them. They all work perfectly. You should contact them and see if they’ll replace it. Obviously yours has a malfunction. I’ve talked to other people who use them as well, without any problem.

I’m going to call them tomorrow, only problem is that I actually got the unit 3 months ago while I was building the enclosure. I don’t know if they’re going to do anything for me.

Yeah, I think they only have a 30 day warranty on them. That does suck about them. I don’t know any others out there. I mean, I do, but I ignored them because they all had to be wired. I’m not an electrician. I’m not messing with that. I just want to plug it in and put in the probe. Too easy. Good luck in your search and dealing with BAH.
