 Boaphile Cages?

Hi- i was looking at some cages and found the Boaphile website. If heard of them, but never really looked. They have some descent prices. Does anyone have opinions on them? They look like they would be pretty cramped for a 6-7 foot snake. (i was looking at the 4 foot ones) anyway, i would just like some opinions. Thanks

They make six and eight foot cages if you are worried about space.

Yes. I only have three of the four foot ones right now and one of his racks but I certainly do plan on getting more.

A lot of people like boaphile, and they’re nice and cheap. You can also look at constrictors northwest. They are priced the same, but are made from HDPE. HDPE is much safer than PVC. Much more heat resistant and approved by the FDA as "food-safe," which means its safe to be around anything alive. PVC can’t claim the same, although I honestly think PVC is perfectly safe. Both are good choices, although I’ve heard people talk about larger sized boaphiles warping with heat.

I’m a fan of Boaphiles. I currently have 4 of the 4 footers.

This is what it looks like when you have a 6-7 foot boa in a 4ft x 2ft x 1ft foot cage (a 421D):

The girl on the uppermost cage is the largest, she’s approximately 7 feet and was gravid the time the picture was taken.

The girl in the second cage down is in the 6-7 foot range.

And the gravid hypo Hog in the bottom cage is about 5.5-6 feet long.

Just for reference.

I’m about to go with Boaphile. Getting six of the 4 footers. Constrictor NW was about 100 more for the stack pack of 5 cages and pedestal. Also, Boaphiles claim is they use a different kind of pvc that is safer. Here is the link explaining it. Link
Hope it helps.

Man reading that later made me realize using the word "claim" sounded a bit shady on their end. I guess I should have said "Boaphile shows how they use a different pvc that is safer." Can’t wait till I order mine. . .
