 RTB Soaking

My RTB just shed and all of a sudden has been soaking the past 2 nights after I get done handling him. He hasnt defacated in almost a month and has 4 rats since. Is he helping himself to poop? I dont foresee him soaking as a problem but more curiosity than anything else. Any advice? Input?

Is he due to shed?

If he’s going into the waterdish after handling he could be a little dehydrated. But he could just be looking for a place to hide. Some boas will try to hide in their waterdishes. I have a hypo Nic that does that.....goofy little bugger, doesn’t seem to realize that water is clear :)

If the reason for not pooping is dehydration, yes it does. However, it does not always work. That many rats without pooping is a bit concerning. Mine will occationally miss going for 2 feedings, then a big old poop and urates will come after the 2nd feeding.

Check your enclosures Humidity. Make sure its spot on. If it doesnt go soon, id take it to the vet!

He was soaking the other day when I posted this and then Wednesday night I fed him another rat and he ate him right away. After he eats he usually just goes under his hide but instead he was real active going fom the hot side to the cool side a couple of times. He normally stays on the cool side but has been on the hot side. His tail looks full as if he has to poop. How would a vet make him poop? Any normal vet or what?
