How to tell hypo from super hypo Google might give you alot more photos to compare with. Before breeding, I would recommend reading a few articles, not just take the advice of a couple of people on a website. They can have very large clutches, and you need to have many heated enclosures for them (I would suggest investing in a rack system if you are planning to breed. Usually you want to wait until the snakes are 3-4 years old and have enough fat reserves to make it through 4-6 months of not eating. You DONT want to power feed though, let them grow up naturally so their bodies are mature enough to handle the stress of breeding. I would also check your local shops/craigs list to be sure there arent already lots of snakes looking to be rehomed.

How to tell hypo from super hypo Well, breeding is the best way to tell if you have a super hypo or not. Until then all "super" hypos are really just possible super hypos.
You can sometimes pick out the ones from a particular litter that are most likely to prove out to be supers by the amount of black on them. Supers will have a "cleaner" overall look and will have very little to no black on the tail saddles. But comparing two from different litters isn’t as easy. Supers may or may not have a black and pink mottled tongue. The eyes on a super might have more color to them.
