 Triple Het Moonglow tomorrow :D

Tomorrow morning our triple het neonate should be coming in. Getting him was a spur of the moment decision (10pm last night lol), but I think it should be a good investment. We haven’t decided whether or not to turn him around or to keep him for our own uses for the 2007 breeding season. (We’re looking to get out of sunglows after this next season, get into moonglows... I have my own plan on what to do with those ) Anyway, I ran out to target today and made him this sterlite enclosure since I didn’t figure a 55 gallon enclosure (our smallest) would be small enough for a baby. This is my first time buying a neonate, so if any of you have suggestions on ways I may want to change the cage it would be appreciated. I wasn’t sure if i should try to fill up the empty space more with another hide box or a climbing stick or if the snake would be fine with that much empty space.

Oh, the two tea boxes in there are both hides (again, didn’t have anything small enough hide-wise for a baby either lol) and i did set it up so that temps and humidity are correct.

Hey all I can say is congrats and keep him!!!!! I wish I had the money and room but I really want to put alot of focus on my Dwarf morph projects. That should be a good cage. I have used Steralite in the past and I’m sure I will in the future as well.

lol, i should have known you had him... According to tracking hes in California (Not IL where he should be!) I called UPS and they said they can’t tell where he is... and wont search until 24 hours after he was shipped out, so I have to wait til 4 til they’ll be any help.

Um I hope you get this in time but if you are planing on shipping next week make sure you do it after the 4th. No deliverys will be made on Tuesday or Pickups. So if the seller shipped on Mon you wouldn’t get it till Wed. If they ship on Wed you should be fine as long as they don’t screw up again. I would also confirm your address with the seller after this little flub. Good luck !!!! Who are you getting it from... Bell?

Fixed the problem with UPS, our triple het arrived this morning (nickname gargamel) The first pic i took, the second was the breeders pic. (I have the cheapest camera on the market lol) Still haven’t decided whether or not to sell him... think we’ll put him up and not flinch on the price.. if he goes he goes, if he stays that might be even better.


Ryo- Moonglows are hypo snows. Its not what they look like thats important, its their genes. They’re gentic wonders, 3 homo genes in one snake! Triple hets and Moonglows have the awesome ability to produce albinos, snows, sunglows, moonglows, ghosts and anerys all in the same clutch! it’s amazing!

Moonglow looks just like a snow but with the hypo bowtie pattern. I really didn’t see any thing special about it and kinda doubt that the one produced this year is what they say it is. If it is, it looks like with the double homo recessive genes it canceled out the classic hypo coloring that you see coming through with sunglows. I was actually expecting to see something that looks in the middle of a snow and sunglow.

A few more people have produced them this year, they just dont get the publicity since the first one was produced. They all look the same, we’re not going to see any great looks out of them.
