Bedding for my RTB I use newspaper, because its free and efficient. Aspen is also a good choice, easy clean up (easy to "spot clean", too!) and our snakes seem to enjoy aspen more than newspaper. We usually keep them on newspaper because we feed in their cages, but during mating season and waiting for the birth we use aspen for our girls since theres no feeding going on and its easier to clean without disturbing them. With newspaper we have to haul them out everytime they make a mess to take out the paper.

Bedding for my RTB My girl, Inga, seems to like aspen. She can burrow into it and hide when she wants to and its soft and easy to clean

Bedding for my RTB You can get aspen bedding at any pet store - they have the ones that are finely shredded and really soft sold as reptile bedding and they also have the very large bags which are a little more coarse but still easy for burrowing and nesting (my Inga likes to make nest type mounds - go figure) - the big bags are cheaper. They are in the hamster and small animals dept. Make sure it says aspen - not timothy hay or anything else - just aspen. It is not harmful - anything with pine or cedar IS HARMFUL. I’ve tried other types of bedding but I like aspen and it seems my snakes are comfortable with it as well.
