 Shedding vs. Eating

Is there a rule of thumb about when to not feed your snake before it sheds. Do i not feed it when it eyes and color start to fade or can i feed it at this time? Or should i not feed it at all throughout the whole process? thanks

I don’t feed my snakes from the moment there eyes turn blue to the time when they shed. I’ve just read to not feed them then, so I don’t.
