 ATB people,soLA?, question...

Once again, I would like to get a pair of ATB’s but unfortunately idk enough to purchase any yet. All I am asking is what would make a good substrate and are different colored atb’s still the same. You don’t need to worry about me experienced enough. I am new to boa’s but I have been taking care of pythons for 4 yrs and recently got into varanids. Thank you!

I rarely get an answer or response to my posts in the same hour...
Anyway,
There are no differences between the different colors of ATBs, just the cost

Sorry about that. I have been out of town for the past week living in a tent in the southwest looking for reptiles and amphibians.

Substrate can be anything from newspaper and paper towels, to carpet or astro turf, to soil, mulch and sand mix.

They are not extremly hard on the humidity end but they do need to be misted at least every so often. If you have an enclosure that is vented on the sides instead of the top...it makes it all that much easier.

Don’t be alrmed if they are rested on the ground a lot. They do that. Its actually a good thing for them to thermoregulate that way because it makes it a tad easier for you.

This is a hardy snake. I am not worried at all about your ability to keep it. Sometimes you need to know a few feeding tricks but I can help you out when that time comes. Feed very warmed up meals very late at night with low lighting.

Other than that...good luck!
