how long have you had the boa? give it a good week to adjust to the cage befor any contact with him/her. hes a baby hes bound to strike. he will grow out of it with age and handeling. dont be afraid of him its part of owning snakes every one will get bit at lease once. luckely mine is a sweetheart n has never hissed, struck or anything i dont think she would harm a fly but its not a given..

Not always...LoL,I have one that never grew out of it and That’s what i like about him the most!!,You Don’t ever go near him without a hook!!,He’ll bite every time repeatedly.

Like said above give it some time, and a hook would be a wise thing to invest in.What kind of dwarf boa?

if you just got this boa.. then you should probably get his set up correct... then leave him alone for a week... only change his water and spot clean his enclosure. Give him time to get acclimated to his new surroundings. If he is a baby.. he sees you as a huge predator.. and he is going to strike.. it’s his defense mechanism. Just give it some time.. and take Addcited advice... invest in a hook

 Striking problem

My partner’s sister had my boa before me and she always used to strike at her. She has never done it while I’ve had her. Like everyone says she’s probably stressed from the move. Maybe that’s why she wouldn’t feed?
