Kenyan sand boa setup and general care?

I have a empty 15 gallon that has a 2x1 footprint and was concidering a ksb. I know a male would be fine in there but would a female be as well (not together i mean just becasue of the size difference).

I have heard dont use sand not becasue impactation but bercasue of them inhaling it when breathing .Is this true? Is sand ok to use or a mixture of sand and dirt? Will a heat lamp be ok? its up to 65 watts so it woudl be warm enough.

Throughout a month what would be required as in upkeep?
I know feedings, spot cleanings, handling, water bowl water changes... anythign else?

I have some other things i plan on doing first ( set up 75 gallonbut i like to know what i would be gettign into first and even if i choose not to i have learned somthing new.

How big of a ksb are you getting? My female is 16 in and is in a 10 gal. To much room can cause issues so be careful. And the females get bigger than the males so a full grown ksb might be ok in a 15 but a younger one needs a smaller space.
As for the sand I use it with no problem. BUT some have said it can cause serious issues with your snake. So your best bet is to ask a vet and do some reserch on what you want and what is safe for them. I use sand on one side and aspen on the other. I put the water on the aspen so none goes into the sand. DO NOT feed on the sand or aspen because the snake can eat it and this will cause impaction.
An under the tank heater is better than a light some times. I use both {not on the same tank} It just depends on what works to keep your temps up. The light tends to take the humidity out so thats a concern.
DO some reserch on google or another serch engine to find out more detailed info.

my sand boas, tiny one is Lucian....large one is Louise. They are great starters.

hey what do u feed them pinkies? I have always liked sand boas but only being able to feed them pinkies is gonna be hard since they aren’t always available. In this case its the size of the animal and no the fact that it is to big the fact that it is to small. I really like em and i really want to get 1 but again i don’t always have availability to pinkies.

The litte guy eats live piks. She eats frozen fuzzies or large rat pups. If you get a bigger one you can cut out the pinks and go with a bigger food source.
