 Rubber boa information

Hi folks,
My name is Andrew. I am writing because I am engaged in research regarding the Pacific Rubber boa, Charina bottae. I am researching range, distribution, habitat preferences, life history and evolution. This species has a considerable range with apparently several morphs. I am especially interested in comparing these morphs and trying to reason out the purpose for them. I am interested in corresponding with people who know about this species to glean information that I might use for my research. This research will eventually become part of my masters thesis. I have written to many professionals around the western US regarding this species, with few replies. Any one with experience finding this species in the wild, I am very interested in asking you many questions if you have time. I am not a commercial snake hunter or any one of that sort looking for locations to pillage. Any snake I remove from it’s original location is returned there after being weighed, measured and recorded, so that I can return later and see if I can find it and see how it has changed.

Many thanks and best wishes

Andrew
