Usually they shed on their own quite well. Is there still shed on the snake? I would say let it be for another day or so and if there is still unshedded skin use a moist q-tip and gently rub it away.

sometimes with my milk snake i will wet my hands with warm water and let him cruise around in y hands while i keep wetting them. all the shed will eventually come off.

water should be 80 to 85 degrees. dont let him get in all the way. do not submerge his head. while holding him or her put them in the water and let them climb around your hand (while in the water) for 15 to 20 minutes. this helps with bad sheds and with constipation. which is what i am dealing with right now. (not me, my snake.)

I was having some problems with my san boa about shedding as well. He had patches of his old skin everywhere. So i got a small tub of not hot but warm water and let him bask in it for short periods of time with out submerging him. then get tweezers or your steady and and delicatley take off his old skin. During this process my snake was quite docile and calm.

soaking hime for about 10 minutes a day in luke warm water should help a lot. he shouldnt try to bite but he’ll probly try to escape so make sure theres a lid on the container. Also watch out for his eyes. if he has shed stuck to his eyeballs (eyecap) try to get some scotch tape and stick it to the cap and gently peel it off. make sure there is an eyecap though so your not just tuuging out his eyball. ha
