Getting new snake!! had a question San Andreas Boas come from the San Andreas Islands off the cost of Nicaragua. They are nearly extinct in the wild due to habitat destruction from an almost insatiable tourist industry. They look similiar to Hog Island Boas (so it will likely not get beyond 6’), but have some differences to them, but they are naturally occurring hypomelanistic animals. I am not sure, but I kind of doubt it is really a San Andreas Boa just because of how incredibly rare they are. I don’t even think the first successul clutch in captivity came until 2006 and I believe that was by some guy in Canada. And if it was one, the price tag would have to be STEEP. They do not even estimate the existing world population to be 100. It is likely that if people cannot begin to successfully breed these animals and keep their bloodlines pure, they will vanish in another couple of years or so if they have nto already. If it is one, score for you, but without paper work to show genetics, there is no way to tell. It is likely a misidentified Hog, I think.

Getting new snake!! had a question Sure thing. Like I said though, it’s hard to tell without paper work, but even if it’s just a Hog, they are gorgeous snakes anyhow.
