 My gopher snakes eyes are cloudy

my gopher snakes eyes are cloudy. is he going to shed? is he sick? should he see a vet?

Should he see a vet?
He can’t! His eyes are too cloudy!

Actually, they can see better than people think when they’re in the blue, but it does often result in a loss of appetite. Especially combined with a new home. I’d wait until after he sheds before you offer the next pinkie. He’ll probably be voracious then.

Yep they go clear again for a day or 2 and then proceed to shed.

When I got my snake and it had cloudy eyes, I thought it was sick too, so I called the pet store where I got it from and they said, "It’s in the blue" which means it’s shedding, so don’t worry. It’s natural.
