You might want to shop around online for a hinged cover so you turn it sideways. 21 inches is a lot roomier than 13, and 13 is still plenty high enough for a bullsnake. I forget who I last saw selling those things, but I know they do still make them. If he rubs agaisnt the screen you can always abort the experiemnt, but CB Pits are usually pretty laid back snakes. In all probability he’ll just enjoy the extra room and even like being able to aim his tongue a things in order to sniff whatever’s in the room better. I used to use a sideways 55 for a pine snake cage. Even during the winter it worked fine, although I added a red night light over one end when it was cold just to play it safe. Sideways, it comes out to seven square feet. Standing up like a fish tank it’s only about four square feet. You can even keep other stuff on top, as long as there’s still room for a light. I had a 26 inch tub up there with Pueblan milk in it. (Come to think of it, somebody who had three or four old 55s could stack them all and not even need a rack.... this is making me start to rethink what I do and don’t have room for...)

Thanks, but she is stayong right where she is she enjoys it she has her tunnels and all, so i will not mess with it! She has PLENTY of room. I use a heat pad and that is it, but because i moved her by the door we added a red bulb to add some heat! I have all her sheds since she was a baby except 3 of them which she pooped in! LOL
