as far as I know he is. they are found in the central and northern part of Florida and into southern Georgia and a little in to South Carolina. I am not too sure if they are that common or not but I do know they spend almost there whole life under ground eating pocket gophers so I would think they would not be noticed that much. He is a good snake, really friendly. He eats everything, rats, birds, eggs and gold fish.

Pit crazy is right, no UVB needed. Whole rodents are a complete meal for them giving them all the vitamons/nutrients they need. Eggs and fish will not harm them but do not give them all they need either. Plus it makes there poop horrible and pines are bad enough as it is.

Here is my Leucistic southern pine. Southern pine is another name for florida pines.
