  Possible Hypo??

Hello everyone and Happy Easter.
Can anyone tell me if this may be a hypo? She has no black on her, only varying shades of brown to chestnut. I’m somewhat new to Sonorans, but have a large collection including corns, kings, rat snakes, and BP’s. Just didn’t want anyone to think I was a beginner "herper", or some kid with his first snake...lol
Here’s pics of Medusa. The second set will be of Demon, an unrelated female. As you can see there is quite a difference. I just can’t find enough visual confirmation as to the varying degree of coloration in this particular species.....
Medusa:

And Demon:

Thanks in advance for looking, any ideas or comments are welcome and appreciated.

The last two pics looks as if the flash is washing out the colors. The first two look light a light colored normal, but it depends on how acurate the pic is as far as representing the true colors. Here is a link to some hypo somoran pics. Just scroll down to Gophers and find the hypo sonoran pics.

Thanks for the link Wisema. I know pics are never the best visual evidence to go on but the pics of Medusa, the Sonoran in question are pretty close to being accurate. I’d have to say you may be right, but after seeing some of the hypos listed on that site, it’s hard to tell. I’ll give her more time and see what happens.
I plan on getting an albino male to breed them both with in the future. If I breed her to an albino, then breed those babies back, I should get ghosts if she is a hypo, correct?

A ghost is a combination of hypo and anery.

Combining albino and hypo will give you het hybino’s. The hypo gene changes the look of the albino somewhat (sort of like how the hypo gene in corn snakes causes the sunglow corn to look different than a normal amel corn)

Too bad you do not live closer to VA or you could breed my blizzard sonoran male to her. The babies would be het albino, anery and possibly hypo if yours is indeed a hypo.

Duh, what was I thinking?!?!
All I can say is WOW! That is one beautiful snake! This may change my "shopping list" for this year’s Daytona show. I was going to try and pick up an albino male, but I may just have to drop some change and try to pick up blizzard. Wow, what a looker!!!!
Have you bred and/or sold any of your gopher snake babies in the past? What’s the market like for them? If you’d rather PM with this info feel free.

Next year will be my first year breeding gophers since mine are not quite big enough yet. That little one had a $300 asking price as a hatchling but I got it for $250 right at the end of a show. This price is fairly comparable to Envy Reptiles. You can also check out Tom Stevens site, Link, he has great sonorans as well (his are Envy stock) and he always has a booth at Daytona. Could be good to get to know him!!

He does have some nice looking snakes. I was looking at his hypo males, and from what I can tell, my one female looks just like them. I know it’s hard to tell from the pics. I’ll try to get some better ones and put on here soon.
So will you be coming down our way in August? It’d be great to meet another RZ regular. I met several at last years show from over on the ball python forum. Good people.
Have a good one and thanks for the link and the pics.

My wife and I have talked about heading down there in August but have to see when Youth League Football starts. We have 3 boys that play and they can’t miss the first 2 conditioning weeks.
