BLACK PINE SNAKE ABUSE IN OREGON
and I don’t how to fix it. It says to close tags?)???? I bought a blk pine about 2ish months ago. her name is Jets, because she is very vocal makes alot of noise. I got her at a pet store. I had been handleing her for about a year, so I knew her pretty well. She was selling for $150.00. well the owner had her for 2 years no one wanted her because she was so loud and scarie. so I got her for $50.00 dollars. I liked and felt sorry for her every since I met her. I wasn’t afraid of her. so thats some of her back ground. now, she has always had this dent in side, I never really thought about it until I brought her home. well she was still very vocal and I noticed that she would take some long deep breaths thru the day and night. just thought that was just something that her kind of snake did. she just seemed grouchy all the time. even just walking by the tank she would hiss etc. she didn’t seem to want to held or bothered but I would pick her up to try and tame her and get her used to me and calm down. she never did. well, I took her outside and put her on the ground. she liked it then I took pics and took her to a tree and put her in it and she moved around interested in her surroundings. well every since I did that she’s been very restless in her tank. so I would take her out and hold her, well today I did that and she was pretty loud so I took her outside for fresh air it kind of calmed her a little, but not much, so back in the house (all the while she is constantly moving around like she couldn’t get comfortable. well remember earlier when I said she has that dent in her side, today I really started to examine it by feeling the area, wow, she calmed down right away and stopped moving around so much. then she just stopped and relaxed and was breathing better and quite. so I kept rubbing the area and I think no I know, she has a couple of broken ribs. the ribs are in the lung area so I’m wondering did I make her feel better by doing the rubbing and probing the spot, u know like a dr. does when checking sore areas? maybe I moved a rib that may have been sticking in her lung? I don’t know but she is calm and not taking those horrible deep breaths, she would even breath with her mouth open. hold on I’m going to see if she is still alive. yep she’s alive and she didn’t even make a noise like she normally would. I might take her to the vet on monday, I don’t know yet, my husband thinks I’m crazy to be willing to spend money on a snake. but I need to know because I do not want her to suffer or be in pain. as of right now she has her head out of her box and watching me,soooo I don’t know maybe I helped her a liitle bit I would really like some feed back or oppinions on this letter. |
