 Coachwhip question

Hey y’all. I was thinking of getting a coachwhip. I figured they are related to pines gophers and bulls. So, does anyone have pics of a full grown coachwhip?

 Coachwhip question

Coachwhips are NOT related to pines, gophers and bulls. They’re much closer to racers. They do not constrict and are extremely active with high metabolisms (you’ll need to feed more frequently). Juveniles can be difficult to get feeding and they need big cages. I wouldn’t recommend them unless you’re willing to put in a significant level of effort into maintenance and caging and researching the needs of the animal.

 Coachwhip question

He’s right. They’re NOT related to Bull Snakes. I actually caught one the other day here, but it wouldn’t settle down, so I released it. REALLY gorgeous too. Sadly, today, I found 2 DOR coachwhips. Really sucks!!

The one I caught wouldn’t eat a mouse, but it did eat a lizard I put into its enclosure. I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to catch enough lizards to keep it well fed, so I let it go. I’m quite intrigued by their ability to get 6+ ft. long, but don’t know if I can get a big enough enclosure for their activity level.

Maybe in the future!!! Good luck to you if you try.
