 My snake is not eatting!?!?!?

My snake has not eaten anything since the middle of April... he wants nothing to do with dead feeders and he killed one small mouse I have given him but did not eat it. He is always on the move, from morning till night. he is never in his hiding places and seems to be bothered by something. I have changed the substrate, and cleaned the tank but he is still going out of his mind. He is a pine snake...can someone help me???

It sounds like either his temperatures aren’t right, which seems odd now rather than during the winter, or he caught a worm or protozoa from one of the mice. Not everything is as species-specific as most of us were taught. Look for a local vet that treats reptiles and drop off a stool sample. You might not even ever have to bring the snake in. Mine just lets me weigh them at home and gives me the prescription that way. About half the new animals I’ve checked had something in them, but the good news is it’s fixable. (And around here, it only costs about twenty bucks.)

thanks, that sounds like a good idea
how will I get a stool sample when he is not eating?...he had a bowel movement last week and I think that might be the last of anything to come out. He had 3 since his las meal.
