 Question on feeding. thank you

i have a gopher snake, about 4 1/2 - 5 feet. about medium thickness in the middle. smallish in the head, good eater.

question is, ive been feeding him 1 REALLy large adult mouse every 5-7 days. ( and of course prekilled) should i be feeding him small rats now??

thank you

Hows the size of the lump on the fella? I feed small rats to my 4 1/2 foot pythons and they take it down great. But balls have a bigger girth on them. Yes, try it. The rule is the width of the rat must be equal to the width of the snake at it’s largest point. Hope i have been a bit of help.

My bull is about 8 months,3 feet long and he eats rat pups, small ones I guess, since they don’t show when he eats them and they are fed live.....keeps up the muscle tone!
