I’ve read a few things as i had the same worries when i was told they get to 8ft long.

Many experts say you need 1/2 a foot of housing to ever 1 foot of bull snake, so a 4ft tank would do perfectly i suppose!

A rough approximation is that the length plus the width of the cage equals the adult length of the snake. Few bulls reach the 8 ft mark so a 4 ft long cage should be fine.
