Hide box
Well, I was taking advice from you guys, and finding my bull snake a good hide. He had a half log, but it never really served his hiding purposes well. So, I found an empty shoe box. Not just any shoe box, though. Converse shoe boxes have holes on either side that are quite fitting doorways for smaller snakes. It’s kind of hard to explain. It’s definetly more suitable for rat snakes rather than pythons and boas... And of course, my loverly bull! Taurus is very grateful for his new hidey box!
:D He doesn’t like my mom. She was watching me take pictures of him, and he got P/O’d.

Those log-hides LOOK pretty, but they kind of suck. Not very secure as hidden vantage points, and a real pain to clean waste material off. You can also play around with stacking: take two or three boxes with the bottoms cut out, and cut holes in the top or tops wherever necessary to climb to the next level, and you can watch him do that "Scooby Doo chase" thing where they keep running into one room and coming out a different one. |
