Whats wrong with my Bull Snake??

My bull hasn’t come out of his hide box in over a week. We took him out to feed and when we put him back in his tank after about 5 minutes he went right back into his box. I’m really worried about him, but don’t know if my worry is warranted. This is unusual behavior for him.. HELP!

 Might’ve Gone into Shed . . .

Different snakes react differently on that one; my big bull doesn’t hide out when she’s getting ready, but she does get much more lethargic (right now she’s "pacing" in front of the cage even though I fed her a fuzzy rat and an adult mouse two or three days ago, and I know she’d eat more).

My w/c gopher that I did feed today (two nearly adult mice) promptly went into his hiding spot, and if he follows form, he may well go into shed after this meal . . .

Momma corn is in shed, and she’s in her hiding spot, but she burrowed down to the heater for a couple of days when it began (warmer there, I think . . .

Her two-year old daughter polished off a f/t adult mouse about four days ago; I expect she’ll be hungry by next Monday or so, as will Poppa Corn and my big milk snake . . . My "larder" consists of four frozen mice, one nearly adult live mouse (two actually, but one is a female, and I’d like rebuild my second breeding colony, adding a male mouse from "outside"), and four or five hoppers . . .

I’m waiting for Momma corn to complete her shed before I feed the big snakes since I don’t like to waste mice (and the hoppers will be bigger). Invariably one of them just isn’t "quite hungry," (sometimes that one is a matter of a day), and by staying flexible, I usually don’t have problems.

Mostly I wouldn’t panic, and if your snake sheds (and it’s often hard to tell they’re going to with pits), you’ll see a remarkable change . . .

Ha ... at least yours ate ...mine went on a hunger strike for about two and a half weeks .... just ate the other night, thank gawd.

As far as hiding it has used it’s half log on and off ...but was pacing and relaxing in the water as ambient temps hit the ninties ... Now they are moved to my new residence and the temps are moderately in the low 80’s and things are evening out.... I know these guys and the corns always throw a curve at me just when I think I have em figured out.....jokes on me I guess.
If it eats and sheds ....no worries .... just a phase and a moment ....and it will change again.

Maybe that is the coolest place to hang out as the temps seem to be rising with the season.....
