 What sex Gopher Snake?

Hi, I recently got a new gopher snake and I am not sure what type or sex it is. I think it is a Sonoran Gopher Snake, but I’m not sure. Is there a way with telling the sex of it without probing or popping?
If so, what is the way? Thanks for responses!

Female:

Male:

These are photos of king snakes, but the principle is the same. Males have slightly longer tails than females, too, which is useful knowledge if you have a pair to compare. If you can post a photo of your snake’s vent and tail we could make an educated guess. Also a photo showing it’s back, so we can see what its markings and pattern are; whether it’s a sonoran or what.

Almost any reptile shop should be able to identify your snakes’ gender. Even Petco usually has a reptile enthusiast amongst its employees who can help.
