Here is the finished product. It is extremely sturdy and ,I am sure, way over built. I put wheels on it because, with it being so heavy (plus 3 exo terras with soil) it would be hard to move. I also have a remote control that turns on and off all the lights Contains: 1 amazon tree boa 1 rough green snake 2 tokay geckos 1 pueblan milksnake 1 corn snake |

One thing though, I wouldn’t try moving that with those wheels on that carpet (: Unless you’ve got one person on each side of it. |

You could really use whatever "goes" with your place, Tyanna. For example if you have a country/shabby chic type of place I’d say use MDF so you could paint it, or a pine for distressing. MDF for a contemporary place, painted black (or even silver.) Walnut would be amazing. You get the idea I’m sure (: |

Sounds like you know a little bit more about wood/caprentry than I do. I don’t remember what it was made out of. Four 4X4’s for the legs. then 8 2x4’s bordering the outside of the legs on top and bottom. Then 2x4’s accross the middle (short ways not long ways) for support. Plywood for the bottom shelf, and a 1inch thick pre glued big piece (or pieces) for the top which was a soft wood.. I should have pretreated it before staining but i didnt. That’s pretty much what you see in the first picture. I added a back with plywood and border on the front to dress it up a little. |

Now that I looked at the first (unfinished) photo again, you used oak hehe. Although you say you used a soft wood for the top, which would be pine. |

I haven’t taken a photo of it yet, but as soon as I do I’ll post it here to show you what you inspired, Osiris! (: - Yav |
