it is best to seperate them all... you can build a stack that is 4x2x8 (could even go 4x2x7) for them and give each of them there own 4x2x2 space...if not you need to at least move the male out of there. a 55 gal is too small for one much less 3 BD... A stack would only use a 4x2 footprint of floor space, and would be realatively cheap to build. you would need 3 sheets of plywood (I would use 1/2 in but you could use 1/4 in if you build a strong enough frame (full sheet on back, half (8x2) on each side, and 1/4 sheet on top, middles and bottom. then use 1/4 to build frames for the sliding doors. you can buy 4ft sliding tracks for $6 a piece (you would need 3). Use either 2x4 ro 2x1 to build the frame. The glass for the doors will be the most expensive parts. any more questions let me know.

were would i get the tracks from. i went to home depot and they didnt have any so thats not an option for me. any ideas? but if i decided to have 2 females in a 4*2*2 that would be ok tell i get around to making my ideal home for them????? and leaving my male in the 55 gallon by himself. how do you feel about plexi glass or is glass the way to go?? how do you guys feel about a rock wall in a 4*2*2 i mean i like the idea but i think it would make for less room for my bds to get around in the cage since i will be housing 2 of them in there. Please help...

use doitbest.com they have plastic sliding tracks for glass. I would use 1/4" glass, as it does not scratch or warp. and is about the same price as plexi. the rock wall should not use too much space, plus you can build in a shelf the will give them extra space. what you are suggesting will work (not the best option but an improvement..) I would just build yourself a three stack and give them all new big homes...

pictures of two rock walls i have done, just a tip use TILE for the flat spaces it is MUCH easier to clean...
