 Beach sand

is beach sand safe 2 use as a substrate. i dont care about the lizard digesting it or anything, i jus wanna kno if its safe chemical wise. btw i plan on freezing and boiling it and filtering out any garbage in it

The sand is as safe chemically as glass- once cleaned (boiling/screen filtered is easiest). The question is, is this appropriate for the type of reptile you are keeping; as in its preferred natural habitat?

Oh man.... calm down lol what if its a sand fish or something... They have to live in sand or they will die... Give the benefit of the doubt..
OP: What type of lizard is it? if its from the beach, I don’t think that boiling and freezing its natural sand is needed.... If it does not live naturally in sand, DON’T USE IT!
