i wanna make a perch for my ball python. at first i thought of taking a log and cutting a large hole straight threw the log long ways and then making other holes along the sides but i dont have a drill bit long enough to go threw the log and a drill bit that size is about 40$ is there anyother way to get threw the log or is there a better way to make a nice perch for my snake?

if you can get a hole saw thesize you want, you can dril it as far as it will go, then chisel out the cut out, and continue until you make it completely through.
or look into a drill bit extention. they are cheaper than the whole bit and can be used on a multitude of sizes.
