 Cage sealer???????

what is a good safe cheap wood sealent to put on a snake cage for a taiwan beauty snake cage?

Typically I and many others use Minwax urethane oil base or polycrylic water based clear for wood surfaces. The oil based products are slightly less expensive but take longer to gass off. The water based products gass off and dry much faster.

For sealing the joints I like to follow URO KEEPERS advice and use a silicone without anti microbial agents ...these agents kill fungi and mildew for years and they are suspect to contaminate the air. GE silicone I or II is a pure silicone available in clear or white.
